Kirby Kate Thompson entered and departed this world on December 4, 2025, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Though her time here was brief, she filled the hearts of her family with a love that will remain with them forever. As the first child of Brooks Christian and Kylee Jordan (Burris) Thompson, she was long-awaited, deeply hoped for, and treasured beyond measure.Kirby Kate’s presence, however short, brought joy, wonder, and a sweetness her family will always carry. She was wrapped in love from the very beginning, and that love will continue to surround her memory for all the days to come.She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Stanley Jr. and Betty Loman, David Burris, and Christine Thompson.Those who hold her close in their hearts include her parents, Brooks and Kylee Thompson; her grandparents, Jamie and Lori Thompson and Steve and Kathy Burris; her aunts and uncles, Matt Burris, Abby Burris, Lindsey Ramseyer and her husband, Matt, Lexi Thompson, and Ady Thompson; and her cousins, Kroy and Kolter. She is also lovingly remembered by her great-grandparents, Nelly Burris and Harold and Donna Walden, along with many extended family members who lovingly embraced her into their lives.A service to honor Kirby Kate’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Prague, with burial to follow at Garden Grove Cemetery. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.In her softness, her innocence, and her quiet presence, Kirby Kate touched the hearts of all who waited for her. Though she could not stay, her memory will forever be a gentle light in the lives of those who love her.
