Kirkland "Kirk" Haywood Fondren, a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away on November 18, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on July 27, 1976, Kirk was the cherished son of Shirley Fontenot, Lawrence and Cynthia Fondren. His journey through life was marked by a deep love for family, friends, and his cherished feline companions.
Kirk is survived by his siblings; Clayton Fondren (Megan), Wayne Lyon (Aleisha) and Amanda Jones (William). He also leaves behind a loving host of nieces and nephews: Kaaren, Paige, Noah, Rebecca, Mea, Breyana, William II, and Monroe.
He is now reunited in Heaven with his parents Shirley Fontenot and Lawrence Fondren, his grandparents, Grandmaw Beverly, Grandpaw Lee and Grandpaw Gary.
Kirk had a vibrant passion for technology, his interests extended to playing video games and immersing himself in movies, where he found joy and connection. A dedicated veteran, Kirkland proudly served in the United States Army, an experience that further defined his character and commitment to service.
Family and friends are invited to honor Kirk's memory on Saturday, November 29, 2025 with visitation hours from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Honoring Kirk's service to his country Final Military Honors will take place at 1:00 p.m.
In these moments of remembrance, we hold closely the memories of Kirk's kindness, laughter, and unwavering spirit. He will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate to have known him.
