Kitty Louise Brown, born in Oklahoma City, OK on July 15th, 1952 left this world and entered into Heaven on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023. Kitty was preceded in death by her parents Dorothey Martin and David Robb Sr. and her two brothers David Jr. and Clyde. She is survived by her sister Carolyn and brothers Perry Sr., and Floyd whom she loved dearly. Kitty graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1970, she enjoyed school very much and even lettered in water ballet. Kitty had three children, Donna, Michelle and Eric with her high school sweetheart, Mike Maloy. Kitty loved her children very much and always made sure their time together was full of adventure and fun. In 1998 she married the love of her life William "Bill" Brown, they loved taking the kids to the lake, making memories during summers and watching them grow up.
Kitty lived a vibrant life and was adventurous in many ways, including her career endeavors. She was an administrative assistant, drove an 18-wheeler truck, built neon signs, bartended, and was a homemaker. She was an incredibly giving and kind person who had a heart for the less fortunate. She was feisty, witty, was well-read and very knowledgeable of current events. Kitty enjoyed a good time and played competitive pool and darts.
Family was everything to Kitty. In 2021, she organized a family reunion where her children, grandchildren along with her brothers, sister, and their kids could spend time and enjoy each other's company. The reunion grew even bigger the following year in 2022 and Kitty was at the helm of making sure it was a success. Kitty made several friends over the years and even into her later years she made friends through her healthcare program Valir Pace, by walking and having lunch at the Pete White Center, and through enjoying bingo and other activities at Grace Pointe where she and Bill lived.
There was no role Kitty enjoyed more than her role as a grandmother and she jumped on any opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren and especially loved cooking for them. She was an excellent cook and baker. Her brownies, mac and cheese, broccoli cheese, and beer chicken were just a few of the family favorites craved by her children and grandchildren. For each of their birthdays the kids could request a full menu and Kitty would make sure everyone attending had their favorite items requested as well, creating a feast for the whole family to enjoy!
Kitty loved the Lord and was devoted to her relationship with God. She and Bill would watch Sunday Services every week when they were unable to attend in person and she always read a daily devotional. Kitty loved her family very much and they will miss her deeply; they celebrate the life she lived and know her legacy will live on through their lives.
