Obituary
Kitty Ruth Harrell, age 87, and a lifelong resident of this area died Wednesday, May 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness. She was known by family and friends as "Sook".
Graveside services will be conducted at 11am Friday, May 19, 2023, from the Clifton Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Jeremy Price will officiate. No visitation will be held.
Mrs. Harrell was born on December 14, 1935, in Fernbank, AL to her parents, Dudley Smith and Kittie Brazeale Smith. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and making pot holders in her spare time. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored. She loved all her family. She always had a kind word and was a "second mom" to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years, Hugh L. Harrell, a son, Jimmy Wayne Harrell, a sister, Jean Walker, four brothers, Jack Smith, Ernest Smith, Mahlon Smith, and Ronny Smith; and a grand-daughter Grace Eure.
Survivors include her daughter Pam Eure (Dennis) of Forest, daughter-in-law Michelle Harrell of Morton, 2 sisters Virginia Lyle (Frank), and Betty Pope (Billy) of Forest, brother-in-law Travis Harrell (Mary) two sisters-in-law; Linda Gibbs (Jimmy), and Joan Freeman (Joe), a legacy of 3 grandchildren; Brian Eure (Kim), Josh Eure (Jennifer), and Ryan Harrell (Lindsey), and 5 great-grandchildren; Avery Eure, Alex Eure, Lily Eure, Ethan Eure, with the 5th which is on the way, Brooks Harrell set to arrive in October, several nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
Pallbearers are Brian Eure, Richard Pope, Josh Eure, Lee Harrell, Ryan Harrell, and Billy Charles Waggoner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clifton Baptist Church Cemetery Fund 5034 Clifton-Hillsboro Road Forest, MS 39074.
