Kitty Ramirez

A devoted wife, loving mother, and faithful friend, Kayda (Kitty) Lynn Ramirez, age 74 years young, of Tuttle, passed away on March 1, 2025, after a short illness. She was born on February 3rd to Ed and Alice Courtright.
Kitty worked as a waitress at Chi-Chi's Mexican Restaurant and was a Jazzercise instructor for many years. Then her calling and passion was becoming a Biblical Counselor at Scope Ministries International where she ministered to many people, became the Director of Training, developed material and taught classes; including Marriage and Communication skills at the Federal Transfer Center, developed a training tool for prison ministry, was involved with the 2000 Amsterdam Billy Graham Conference ministering to the ministers, went on mission trips to Africa and Ukraine, traveled to Amsterdam with the Billy Graham Organization, and traveled to New York through Franklin Graham's Samaritan's purse ministry after 9/11. She was a student and teacher of Precepts for many years.
In 2016, she joined His Truth Transforms International where she continued to minister to people, co-developed and taught the Free Indeed! bible study, developed the two-year Biblical Counseling training curriculum, and was Director of the Training Department. Kitty loved everyone and let Christ's love be spilled over to those whose lives touched hers. She used her final years teaching others to possess their spiritual inheritance and live the abundant life Jesus offers them. One of Kitty's sayings was based on James 1:22, "come under the authority of Jesus and not be just a hearer of His Word but a doer of His Word."
God never sees His children die; He simply sees them coming home, Psalm 116:15
Kitty is survived by her husband, Jerry Ramirez; two daughters, Sharma Nickelsen and Tiffany and husband, Todd Sorice; eight grandchildren, Brynn, Hayden, Evalyn, Arlen, Kyle, Ray, Prayer, and Cross; and one great-grandchild, Creed.
Jerry and Kitty had a passion for country western and ballroom dancing and were pool sharks. She loved hiking trails, but most of all she loved sharing God's love with people, and she was always in the Word of God that sustained her. She is greatly missed. We praise God she is now with her precious Savior!
Kitty's Celebration of Life service is Sunday, March 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Chapel OKC, 7510 NW 39th Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Kitty's name to His Truth Transforms International, 5745 NW 132nd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73142.
