Kitty Elmina Wheat

Kitty Elmina Wheat, 97, of Fountain Run, KY passed away Saturday, November 8th, at Signature HC of Monroe County, Tompkinsville, KY.
Elmina was born in Allen County, KY on March 29, 1928, one of eleven children born to the late Pernie (Wheat) and Joe Rigdon.
She lived in Louisville, KY for many years, working as a dietitian at Wesley Manor Retirement Home for over 25 years, loved to cook, spend time with her family and her Louisville girlfriends. She was saved by grace February 29, 2004 and baptized into the Capitol Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Elmina is survived by a daughter, Patty, wife of Dale Blevins, of Fountain Run, KY; she is also survived by granddaugthter, Shannon & Jason Shipwash, great-grandson, Ryan Johnston & Kaitlyn, great-granddaughter, Lexie Johnston, 3 bonus granddaughters, Alexis & Jenna Shipwash & Kaitlynn & Dylan Willoughby, a sister, Polly Wyatt, of Fountain Run, KY, 2 bonus great great grandson's, Bentley and Weston, Phyllis Hendrick, who is loved as a daughter and special caregiver, Elissa, also many nieces, nephews and friends..
Her parents, Joe & Pernie Rigdon, 4 brothers & 5 sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral Service will be held 1 PM on Wednesday, November 12th at 175 Main ST Fountain Run, KY. Brothers Terry Mahaney and Ricky Huff will officiate.
Visitation will be held 4 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, November 11th in Fountain Run, KY. and 10 AM to 1 PM on Wednesday, November 12th in Fountain Run, KY.
Burial Wood Cemetery, Capitol Hill Rd Fountain Run, KY.
Memorial donations requested to the Wood Cemetery or Capitol Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
