Klaus Erik Mueller, age 89, was born on March 20, 1936, in Tuttlingen, Germany and welcomed into his eternal home on May 6, 2025.
Klaus was a devoted man of faith and an anchor for his family, friends, and church community. He will always be remembered and appreciated for his selflessness, loyalty, and service. He supported his family in all of their endeavors and joyfully helped friends and neighbors alike. His legacy is one of faith in action – a quiet strength, a generous spirit, and a heart that always put others first.
Klaus cared for his family and meticulously maintained his beloved home in Brookfield, Wisconsin after previously living in Germany, Canada, and Milwaukee. He enjoyed the outdoors and hobbies it afforded him, including gardening, traveling, hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. He fostered many opportunities for fellowship among his family, friends, and neighbors; they will fondly remember his annual backyard fish fries.
Klaus lived a happy and fulfilling life – he gave love freely and graciously received it in return. He was a devoted son, a loving and faithful husband, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and the eldest brother to seven siblings. He was also a cherished brother-in-law, uncle, friend, and neighbor. Klaus was preceded in death by his parents, Josef and Paula Mueller. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Selma Mueller (nee Blischke); his children, Kurt Mueller (and his partner, Rain) and Kelly Flessas (and her husband, Peter); his grandchildren, Emily Godager (and her husband, Philip) and Jacob Mueller; and his great-granddaughter, Maren Godager. All who were fortunate enough to know him will miss him dearly.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Ridgewood Baptist Church, 2720 Lilly Road, in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Visitation is from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:30 AM. The burial will follow at 12:30 PM. at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
