Knud Arnt Foss

Mr. Knud Arnt Foss age 86, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on September 24, 2025.

He was born on October 18, 1938, in Kristiansand, Norway to the late Guttorm Foss and Aslaug Olsen Foss.

Knud came to the United States in 1965, first settling in New York and New Jersey before making his home in Carrollton in 1978. There, he began working for Treasure Lake, now known as Fairfield Plantation, and later joined Ra-Lin Construction in 1987, where he remained until his retirement.

A devoted member of the community, Knud was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church. His faith and dedication were evident in both his personal and professional life. He found great joy in woodworking, hunting, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Knud is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Anne G. Foss; his sons, Knud Erik Foss (Martha) and Glenn I. Foss (Kristi); his daughter, Karen M. Long (Clinton); grandchildren Matthew, Jakob, Tore, Daniel, Kiersten, Savannah, and Brooke; and one great-grandchild, Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Tore Foss and Alf Foss.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11 AM, at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Lynn Marlowe officiating. His ashes will be scattered in the church's Memorial Garden.
