Koby James Wiles, 73, of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, passed away at Conway Medical Center on January 8, 2026. He was born February 9, 1952, in Washington, D.C., the beloved son of Kermit and Dorsey Wiles.

Koby worked in inventory control for the Highs franchise and later Southland Corporation. He went on to found his own business, KW Inventory Control Specialists, before retiring and relocating to South Carolina.

A proud member of Forestbrook Baptist Church, Koby was active in many church events and participated regularly in the men's group.

He is survived by his son, Koby James Wiles II (Sara), and two grandchildren, Addison Wiles and Kassidy Wiles. He is also survived by his sister Rebecca Fabris (Alan) of Myrtle Beach, SC, and his sister Melissa Oravec (Rick) of Allentown, PA; as well as niece Kayla Thurow (Andrew), nephew AJ Fabris (Doris Vallecillo), and great-nephew Camden Thurow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Dorsey Wiles.

A service to honor Koby's life will be held at Forestbrook Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating his life.

Koby's passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved him; his spirit and memory will live on in each of them. Rest in peace, our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend
