Kosta L. Ilia

Kosta Ilia, 94, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away on June 4, 2024. He was born on April 28, 1930 in Orovo, Macedonia to the late Lazo Ilia and Elinka Kerazovska.
Kosta was devoted to his family, he loved spending time with them and helping out wherever he could. He and his wife, Dorothy, spent 68 years of marriage together before his passing. He particularly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved to garden. Kosta worked for Republic Steel in the Enduro Division. He was very proud of his Macedonian heritage and of becoming a United States citizen. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Ellen Ilia.
Kosta is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Ilia; son, Louis (Rebecca) Elia; grandchildren, Katie (Julian) Stead, Jonathan (Lauren Odenkirk) Elia, Julia (Adam) Whisman, Christopher Elia, and Nathan (Marsha) Ausel; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9:30am to 10:30am on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Paquelet Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:30am, with Fr. Zoran Zdravev officiating, from St. Nikola Macedonian Orthodox Church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
