Dorothy Ilia, 93, of Massillon, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024. Dorothy was born on March 8, 1931 in Macedonia, Greece the daughter of the late Nikola and Dimitra (Pedroff) Palevi.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and spending time around the Holiday's with family and friends. Dorothy loved crocheting blankets and scarves for family and friends. She found joy in sharing her Macedonian culture with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Louis (Rebecca) Elia; grandchildren, Katie (Julian) Stead, Jonathan (Lauren Odenkirk) Elia, Julia (Adam) Whisman, Christopher Elia, and Nathan (Marsha) Ausel; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Tina (Stase) Malkos; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kosta Ilia with whom she shared 68 years of marriage; daughter, Ellen Ilia; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Paquelet Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, with Fr. Zoran Zdravev officiating, from St. Nikola Macedonian Orthodox Church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
