Kris Worthington, 53, of Woodinville, WA, passed away on September 21, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Born in Seattle on February 25, 1972, Kris was the son of David Worthington and the late Bonnie Bryant. He was a proud graduate of the University of Washington's Foster School of Business, where he earned his B.B.A. He went on to complete certifications in Business Intelligence and Data Architecture at Villanova University.

Kris built a successful career through his strong work ethic and leadership. He held business intelligence roles at T-Mobile and Expedia before joining Starbucks, where he spent 10 fulfilling years and was promoted to Director in 2020.

Above all, Kris was devoted to his family. He was the proud father of Jordan Worthington, whom he recently walked down the aisle at her wedding to Marques Herrera-a joyful milestone he cherished. He and his daughter Jordan also shared a competitive spirit, playing hours of H.O.R.S.E together on the basketball court and hundreds of games of Backgammon and Skip-Bo. He was also the loving father of Kirkman Worthington, with whom he shared fishing adventures, movie nights, and countless hours of gaming on their favorite oversized couch.

An avid skier, Kris developed a passion for the slopes through trips with his father, brother, and stepmom to Whistler. He also inherited from his dad a deep appreciation for wine, a joy he shared with his brother Jeff during tastings close to home and in France and Italy. A dedicated runner and hiker, Kris treasured his daily dawn runs and many hikes throughout the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Janine and their dog Ripley.

Kris is survived by his wife, Janine Worthington; his Father, David Worthington; his children, Jordan, and Kirkman; his stepsons, Drew and Alex Robertson; his brother, Jeff Worthington; brother-in-law, Ekko Jirapongpan; stepmother, Bonnie Worthington; and his faithful dog, Ripley, for whom he threw thousands of frisbees.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Cancer Pathways in Kris's memory.
