Tonya Kay (Reynolds) Aggoune was called home to our Lord on September 8th, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Tonya was born on March 24th, 1957 in Portland, Oregon to Dwight and Katherine Reynolds. She was the eldest of three children.

Her father worked for the Department of Defense Dependents Schools and her mother was a homemaker. The Reynolds family lived in France, Italy, and Spain. In her early years, Tonya and her family spent most of their time traveling around Europe.

Tonya was a scholar. She achieved two bachelors degrees: one Bachelor's of Science in Biology from Western Washington University, and a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.

Tonya met her husband, El-Hadi Aggoune, at the University of Washington, where they both studied. Tonya and Hadi got married on April 22nd, 1989 in a small ceremony in Port Gamble, Washington. They were married for 36 years. They welcomed their son, Yousef Aggoune in October of that year. They spent the first few years of their marriage traveling around Europe with her parents and visiting Algeria, where Hadi's family lives.

Tonya had a successful career and dedicated 25 years of service in the biotech industry. She retired in 2021 as a VP of Project Services. Tonya also worked for Boeing and Labcorp early in her career.

Tonya was called, "T", by close family members. They will especially remember "T" for her love of cooking and The Seattle Mariners. Tonya's favorite pastime was woodworking and building furniture with her dad, tile work, and collecting pottery. Tonya was an avid reader and a talented writer. Before her passing, Tonya was composing two fan-fiction literary works. In retirement, Tonya cared for and spent time with her mother, Katherine. Her favorite hobbies were writing, watching her favorite show, "When Calls the Heart", and doting over her precious grandson.

Tonya had an appreciation for music. Some of her favorite artists were James Taylor, Julio Iglesias, Edith Piaf, and Tim McGraw.

Tonya is survived by her husband, Hadi Aggoune, their son, Yousef (Jenny) Aggoune, and grandson, Weston Aggoune. She is also survived by her younger brother, Pat (Lisa) Reynolds, niece, Christina Reynolds, and nephew, Patrick Reynolds. She also leaves behind many relatives and friends who will sadly miss her. She is loved and will be missed greatly by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight and Katherine Reynolds, and her youngest brother, Michael Reynolds.

Her unconditional love and support have made us who we are today. We will forever honor her memory by living lives filled with the same kindness, strength and compassion she embodied.

Funeral services will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Mountlake Terrace, Washington on September 25th, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Tonya's final resting place will be Lakeview Cemetery overlooking Lake Washington.
