Krista Rosa Harvey, a vibrant and loving soul, departed this life on March 1, 2026, in Kettering, Ohio, leaving behind a tapestry of cherished memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her. Born on October 18, 1985, in Dayton, Ohio, Krista's spirit was as adventurous as it was playful, embodying a silly charm that drew people in.
A proud graduate of Fairmont High School in 2004, Krista carried a deep passion for life that was reflected in her diverse career. She touched the lives of many throughout her work as a Sales Representative at Value City Department Store and as a Barista at Starbucks. With a heart devoted to service, she also assisted her father at Gleeson Construction, serving as a reliable secretary, before continuing her journey at Ross. Each interaction was met with her caring nature, as Krista always attuned herself to the feelings of others.
Krista was a lover of adventure and an eternal child at heart, embracing her interests with unwavering enthusiasm. Halloween held a special place in her heart, particularly her adoration for the films "The Nightmare Before Christmas," "Beetlejuice," and "IT." In her moments of leisure, she found solace and joy in coloring and drawing, illustrating her creative spirit.
Above all, Krista's legacy lives on through her beloved children: Irelynn Harvey, Mathiss Smyer, Rosalynn Harvey-Smyer, and Terrance James Harvey. They were the light of her life, and her love for them was boundless. Survived by her devoted parents, Jeffrey and Barbara Harvey, and numerous extended family members and friends, Krista built a life rich in connections—a testament to her loving and caring nature. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Terrance and Marillyn Rosa Knight.
Krista will be remembered not just for the joys she brought to those around her but also for the profound impact she had on their lives. Her adventurous spirit and willingness to try new things inspired everyone who crossed her path. As we reflect on her life, we take comfort in knowing that her love and laughter will forever echo in our memories.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering, followed by a funeral service at 2:00PM. Krista Rosa Harvey's journey may have come to an end, but her spirit remains alive in the hearts of her family and friends, a beautiful reminder that love knows no bounds and memories last a lifetime.
