Kristen Lee Randall, 43, of Waltham, MA, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025. Kristen was born in Red Bank, NJ on June 21st, 1982 to Robert and Barbara Randall and grew up in Rumson. Surrounded by a loving extended family, she enjoyed a wonderful childhood with her twin sister and best friend, Lauren, and her older brother, Mark. Kristen was the child with a sparkle in her eye and a dimple on her cheek. She was bright, happy, and creative, as well as kind, considerate, and determined. Her childhood was filled with family gatherings, shared with aunts, uncles, and cousins who helped shape a loving upbringing. More recently, she was an energetic and enthusiastic travel companion with her parents.
Kristen excelled academically. At Forrestdale Middle School, she and Lauren were awarded the Mary Owen Borden Foundation Award for Academic Excellence. At Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School, she graduated near the top of her class. Kristen went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Carleton College and a doctorate in Analytical Chemistry from Northeastern University.
She built a distinguished career at Sanofi Genzyme in Massachusetts, where she served as a research scientist and later as an associate director leading the bio-analytical group within Discovery Biology at Sanofi's mRNA Center of Excellence. It was a life of achievement.
Beyond her career, Kristen sought challenges that reflected her drive and compassion. In college, she volunteered numerous times for Habitat for Humanity. She was a principal runner on her high school cross-country team, which won its group state championship. She later ran in the Boston Marathon as a sponsor for NORD, a charity dedicated to rare diseases.
Kristen will be remembered for her kindness, intelligence, and quiet strength. She approached life with determination and grace and gave her best to everything she did. Kristen's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who loved her deeply.
Kristen is survived by her parents, Robert and Barbara Randall; her brother, Mark (Eva) and twin sister, Lauren (Scott) Chung; nieces and nephews, Luke, Robert, Sage, Kyle, Caroline, and Jake; aunts and uncles, Jim (Mary) Reade, Sue (Pat) McCormack, and Paul (Ardys) Randall; as well as cousins, Stephanie Reade, Jimmy (Danielle) Reade, Stephen (Marissa) McCormack, and Melissa (Josh) Barnett.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd, from 4pm - 7pm at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home in Middletown, NJ.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th at 11am at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home in Middletown, NJ.
Burial will follow at Mt. OIivet Cemetery, Middletown, NJ.
