Kristine Elizabeth Scruggs Boone

Kristine Elizabeth Scruggs Boone, 61, of Brownsburg, Indiana, went Home to be with the Lord on February 4, 2026. Born on February 28, 1964, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Kristine grew up on the east side and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1982. She later moved to the west side of Indianapolis, where she raised her two children. Kristine continued her education at Ivy Tech Community College, studying Counseling and earning a place on the Dean's List - an accomplishment that reflected both her intelligence and her heart to care for others. Eventually, she made her home in Brownsburg, a community she dearly loved.

Kristine loved JESUS above all. Her faith was the foundation of her life. She knew the Lord personally, had a heart to please Him, and lived with the assurance that Heaven was her eternal home. Even through life's hardest battles, she fought with determination and, ultimately, with the strength that the Lord provides. She never gave up on anything or anyone. Her family was her greatest joy. She cherished time spent together and was always encouraging, always reminding the people she loved just how deeply they were loved. Her prayers were constant, her heart was generous, and her love was steadfast.

She leaves behind Joshua Scruggs and wife Krystyne; and Jayce Scruggs and fiancée Nicole. Kristine loved them deeply and was grateful for the relationships they shared. She adored Aragon, Raiden, and Sathina, loving them as her grandchildren and delighting in the joy they brought into her life. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Douglas Scruggs (2006); her mother, Kathleen Carol "Casey" Scruggs (2019); her brother, Paul Jason Scruggs (2012); and her beloved husband, Paul Harlon "Red" Boone, who passed on her birthday in 2010. She is also survived by her best friend, Terra Spann, whom she considered and loved as a sister, along with extended family and many friends whose lives were touched by her faith, strength, and kindness.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 1202 S. Lynhurst Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46241. Service will begin at 4:30 p.m. Burial Service will take place on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens & Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143.

Kristine knew where she was going when she was finished running her race. She had fought the good fight, she had kept the faith, and she is now Home with the Lord, dwelling in His presence for eternity. Her love, her faith, and her unwavering encouragement will continue to live on in all who knew her.
