Kristy Michelle McGrath, 42, of Louisville, KY, was called home on February 27, 2026.
Kristy was known for her deep love for her family and her selfless willingness to help others, even when she had little to give herself. A dedicated and hardworking woman, she approached life with compassion, generosity, and a spirit that touched everyone who knew her. She dreamed of traveling the world and creating lasting memories with those she loved.
Kristy worked as a server and manager at Gaslight Diner, where she was known for her kindness, strong work ethic, and welcoming smile. She built lasting friendships and touched many lives with her warm spirit.
Above all, Kristy’s greatest joy was her family, whom she loved beyond words. She was a proud and devoted mother of four and a loving bonus mom to three. She was also a cherished grandmother to three.
Kristy shared a beautiful and unwavering love with her husband and soulmate, Craig. The two were truly inseparable, standing side by side through every season of life. Their marriage was built on deep love, friendship, laughter, and unconditional support. Together, they created a life centered on family, faith, and devotion to one another; a bond that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who witnessed their love.
Kristy leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband and soulmate, Craig McGrath; children, John (Aleigha) Rogers, Jr., Matthew (Kaden) Hardin, Destiny (Isaiah) Lopez, Gabriela (Savannah) Lopez, Craig McGrath, Jr., Joshua McGrath and Brent McGrath; grandchildren, Isaiah Bennett, Jr., Meadow Deweese and Carson Willoughby; parents, Donald and Eva Hardin; sisters, Paige (Josh) Hardin and Wendy Hardin; brother, DJ Hardin; nieces, Makenzie Hardin, Madison Parks, Legaci Badgett, Melodi Badgett, Ashlynn McGrath, Kinsley Engle; nephews, Jason Parks, Skylar Parks, Jordan Hardin, AJ Lind, Zayne Hardin, Trey Engle and Brandon McGrath, Jr.; brother-in-law, Brandon (Amanda) McGrath; sister-in-law Brittany (Timmy) Engle; mother and father in-law, Cheryl and Donnie McGrath and many friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, SW Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 11am-8pm. A celebration of Kristy's life will be Tuesday, March 10, at the funeral home beginning at 12pm.
She will be laid to rest at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
