Kristy Ann Wells, 65, of Newberry, SC, died Friday, April 11, 2025, at her residence. Born January 4, 1960, in New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Lavern Lee Harmon and R. Louise Harding Harmon. Kristy moved to South Carolina in the early 80s.
Kristy was a graduate from the University of South Carolina and a long-time employee at Waffle House in the Newberry area. She enjoyed being outdoors and loved to plant and watch the growing flowers and vegetables in her garden. She could make anything from scratch when it came to cooking, especially her hand made pizzas. Kristy loved animals, rock music; which included her favorite bands, Pink Floyd, Metallica, the Beetles and the Grateful Dead. She would enjoy her coffee every day, all day, as well as a Lucky Strike Menthol cigarette too. She had a knack for taking pictures and sharing photos with her family and friends. Some of her most memorable pictures were of the moon and stars. A few of her favorite TV shows included NCIS, CSI, Law & Order, BONES and just about every murder mystery case series out there.
The most prized elements in Kristy's life were her children, her dogs, and her family. They brought so much enjoyment and warmth into her life.
Kristy is survived by her son, Quinton Wells (LeAnn); boyfriend, Brian Graham; brothers, Brad Harding and Rodney Gosse; nephews, Gabriel M. King and Aidan M. King; and her best friend, Sally Cannon. She is also survived by her brothers-in-laws, James M. King, Brandon Graham and Noah Graham; father-in-law, Sammie Graham; and her loved K-9 companions, Gizmo and Lizzy.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her daughter Makayla Wells.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Newberry Animal Shelter.
Memories and condolences can be made here on her tribute wall.
