Krystyna (Adaszak) Cisto Ventura, known affectionately as Krystyna by all who loved her, passed away peacefully due to natural causes on December 2, 2025, at her home in Windham, NH. Born on July 13, 1941, in the quaint town of Zerkniki, Poland, Krystyna's journey was marked by an unwavering strength of spirit and the love she shared with her family and friends.
Krystyna's life was a tapestry woven with the love of her family and the pride of her heritage. She was the beloved widow of Augustus Ventura of NH and Stanislaus R. Cisto of Lynn, MA, both of whom she cherished deeply throughout her life. Krystyna's legacy is carried on through her devoted daughter, Anna Hathaway and her husband David; her son, Robert Cisto and his wife Mary Jane; and the memories of her sons, Michael Cisto and his wife Judith, and John Cisto, who both predeceased her. The light of her life shone brightly in her grandchildren, David Hathaway Jr. and his wife Marissa, Rachel Cisto, and Stephanie Cisto, and her adoration extended to her great-grandchildren, Waylon and Eloise Hathaway.
Krystyna's professional life was marked by her tenure at General Electric where she was a dedicated employee. Her colleagues knew her as an intelligent, strong and spirited individual, who brought both commitment and warmth to the workplace.
A devout Catholic, Krystyna lived her faith through her actions, embodying the love and compassion that are the hallmarks of her beliefs. Her kindness and generosity of spirit were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Outside of work, Krystyna found joy and peace in her garden, cultivating not just plants but also the beauty of nature that she so loved. Her passion for cooking was another form of expression, one that brought her family together around the table to share in the flavors and traditions of her Polish heritage.
Krystyna will be remembered as a loving, spirited, and intelligent woman, whose presence was a gift to all who knew her. Her ability to touch the lives of others with her warmth and wisdom was unparalleled, and her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
As we say goodbye to Krystyna, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the enduring impact she has left on our hearts. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, and her memory will forever be cherished. Rest in peace, dear Krystyna. Your light will never fade.
