The family of Marie Alice Ventura (Beley) is saddened to announce her peaceful passing on November 17, 2025, in Lexington, Massachusetts, at the age of 79. Born on January 6, 1946, in Waltham, Massachusetts, Marie lived a life marked by resilience, devotion, and unwavering love for her family.
Marie spent some of her early life in the Waltham area, attending school there and forming the foundation of her lifelong values. At the age of 9, she moved to Prince Edward Island in Canada to stay temporarily with relatives before returning to Waltham to complete her schooling.
Throughout her life, Marie exemplified strength and dedication. She worked tirelessly as a school bus driver for special needs students in the Woburn area, bringing home the station wagon each night and ensuring that every child was safely picked up and dropped off at various schools. Her work was more than a job; it was a mission of care and responsibility that she carried out while raising her two children and supporting her husband through significant health challenges. Each fall, Marie`s daughter Jennifer would accompany her as they navigated her new routes together, with Marie behind the wheel and Jennifer unfolding maps to help chart their course. It became an enduring memory of teamwork and love.
Marie poured her heart into her family. She was a loving mother to Jennifer Marie Ventura and Louis Martin Ventura III, a proud grandmother to Danielle Simpson Medas and Tyler Simpson, and a delighted great-grandmother to Oliver Medas. Her nurturing spirit touched each generation with warmth and love.
A woman of many talents, Marie found joy in crafting handmade gifts for those she loved. She crocheted hats and mittens for her children, created afghans for friends and family, especially when welcoming new babies, and even sewed clothes for her children when needed. Her artistic flair also shone through in painting and designing homemade cards that brought smiles to her children and grandchildren.
For over five decades, Marie was a devoted member of the Jehovah`s Witnesses community. Her faith was central to her life, guiding her actions and sustaining long-lasting friendships that endured through the years.
Marie was predeceased by her brother, Robert Beley, and sister, Esther Hynes, as well as her former husband and father of her two children, Louis Martin Ventura Jr. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
A hardworking mother who faced life`s challenges with grace and determination, Marie provided steadfast support for those around her. Her strength, resilience, and boundless care leave an enduring legacy in the hearts of all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
The family will receive family and friends from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, November 28, 2025 at the McLaughlin- Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant Street,
Woburn, MA 01801. Funeral service and interment at Woodbrook Cemetery will be private.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks for the wonderful care provided by Care-One Nursing Home in Lexington, MA. Marie also had an exceptional caregiver, Darleane Gonzalez Soda, who supported her for three years before she entered the nursing home. Darleane helped Marie maintain a sense of independence while navigating the onset of dementia, and her care meant so much to the family.
