Margaret E. Sullivan

Margaret E. Sullivan, age 99, a lifelong resident of Woburn passed away peacefully with her family by her side at her home Sunday, November 9, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. "Cap" Sullivan, Sr. Born in Woburn she was one of twelve children of the late John J. and Matilda (DeAbreu) Gonsalves.

A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, Margaret worked for a number of years as a talented and trusted hair stylist. Over the years in her leisure time she enjoyed bowling, sewing and knitting. She also enjoyed traveling and spending a few of the winter months in Florida. However, her greatest joy was her family and nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by her children and especially her adored grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Margaret was the devoted mother of John V. Sullivan and his wife Cynthia of North Easton, David A. Sullivan and his wife Linda of Woburn, Paul F. Sullivan of Woburn, the late Richard J. Sullivan, Jr. and Robert P. Sullivan and his surviving wife Marylou of Darien, CT. she is also lovingly survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Cherished sister of the late John Gonsalves, Mary Fernandes, Charlie Gonsalves, Augie Manjo, Henry Gonsalves, Matilda Danca, Ann Gillooly, Frederick Gonsalves, Agnes Pereira, Oliver Gonsalves, and Walter Gonsalves. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Family Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday, November 15th, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at Funeral Home on Friday, November 14th, from 4 to 7 p.m. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Margaret's memory to St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, MA 01801.
