Lucas Funeral Home - BurlesonKurt Lyndon French of Burleson, Texas, passed away on November 7, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born on December 19, 1956, in Odessa, Texas, to his beloved parents, Carol and Iva Jo French.
Kurt's early years were marked by a transition from Texas to California, where he spent part of his childhood before ultimately returning to Texas. His educational journey culminated in his graduation from Granbury High School in 1975, a milestone that set the foundation for his future endeavors. In 1978, Kurt married Mollie June Smalley, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion. Their family grew with the arrival of their two sons, Eric French in 1981, and Cameron French in 1996. Kurt took immense pride in his role as a father, and later as a grandfather to Justin French, born in 2002, and Dylan French, born in 2005. His family was the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Professionally, Kurt dedicated over 30 years to A.C. Horn & Company, where he served as an engineering draftsman, shop supervisor, and purchasing agent. His career reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, attributes that characterized both his professional and personal lives. Kurt had a passion for the great outdoors, particularly enjoying hunting during deer season. This love for nature provided him with numerous adventures and memorable experiences that he often shared with family and friends. A man of faith, Kurt found solace in Scripture, particularly in Psalm 23, which guided him through life's journey.
Kurt's memory will be honored in a visitation on November 16, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lucas Funeral Home in Burleson, Texas. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Burleson Memorial Cemetery.
Kurt Lyndon French will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of love, dedication, and strength will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
