Kurt Alan Lyle, a beloved figure and cherished member of his community, passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on July 10, 1957, Kurt was known for his vibrant personality and affectionate spirit. He leaves behind a legacy filled with humor, love, and a profound impact on those who knew him.
Kurt's jovial nature shone brightly throughout his life. He was always a jokester, known for his funny sense of humor and an endless repertoire of jokes that brought smiles to many faces. His laughter was infectious, and his ability to lighten the mood was a gift that he generously shared with friends and family alike.
As an Army veteran, Kurt exemplified courage and dedication. His service not only shaped his character but also instilled a deep sense of pride and commitment to his family and community. He carried these values throughout his life, influencing those around him with his steadfast presence.
Kurt embraced a rich variety of hobbies and interests that reflected his dynamic personality. Known as DJ Krazy Kurt, he delighted in spinning the hits, bringing joy through music at gatherings and events. He was also an avid collector of Hot Wheels, which showcased his playful spirit and love for nostalgia. Additionally, he enjoyed playing Bingo, where his competitive nature and vibrant personality shone through. He was a member of Louisville Lead Car Club where he enjoyed showing off his 1950 Dodge Coronet, "Blue Moon".
Kurt enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and never knew a stranger. His love for them was evident in the countless moments they shared together, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Kurt's warmth and dedication as a family man will be deeply missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his father, Karl Landon Lyle and his brother, Kevin Franklin.
Kurt leaves to cherish is memories his daughters, Michelle (Mike) Burke and Amanda (Jesse) Brown; mother, Nancy (Sonny) Franklin; grandchildren, Elizabeth Mattingly, Cameron Lyle and Alexandrea Burke; great-grandchildren, Aiden Hall and Brayden Mattingly and siblings, Alisa Johnson, Karla Peck, Kari Wooldridge, Eric Lyle, Kreg Lyle and Sonny boy Franklin (Melinda).
Visitation will take place on December 29, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272.
A Funeral Service will be held on December 30, 2024, beginning at 12:00 PM, also at Newcomer Funeral Home.
Following the funeral service, a Graveside Service will occur at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, located at 2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160, starting at 1:30 PM.
Kurt Alan Lyle will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and the loving legacy he leaves behind. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
