Kurt Louis Mullick, aka Captain Skippy, passed away unexpectedly at home in Leesburg Fl. of a heart attack on March 10, 2023 at the age of 75. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Kurt was born on April 25, 1947 in Pelham NY. He was the son of Olive Kathleen Mullick and Louis Frederick Mullick. Kurt is survived and missed by his loving wife of 27 years, Anna, his sister, Kristin Booth Glen, his son Kurt Mullick Jr., his step-daughter Tina M Pulgarin, his niece and nephew and two grand nieces, and grandson Tyler D Brown. Kurt married into a large loving family. He gained two brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, 13 nieces and nephews and many greats. He will be remembered for all of his countless antics and the love he showed each of them.
Kurt graduated from Pelham High School where he and his wife, Anna, attended many class reunions, and from Paul Smith's College, studying hospitality which launched his career in the airline industry. Kurt and Anna were involved with the Alumni Association at the College and spent many wonderful summers in the Adirondacks attending functions, meetings and donating time and money.
His work in the industry enabled him to travel around the world, including taking his mother Olive on a memorable trip to Ireland to rediscover their family roots.
After a year-long courtship Kurt proposed to Anna on the Jumbo-tron at the Texas Rangers' stadium in Arlington TX. It was then decided in a "meeting of the minds" that it was in Jamaica where he and Anna were to be married: they returned there for many anniversaries and to visit dear friends who owned Jamaica Dispatch in Montego Bay. They settled in Dallas Texas where Kurt continued a lengthy career with a number airlines, including traveling with 3 different U.S. Presidents. While he was with Express One Airline he teamed up with Kidd Kraddick on a morning radio station where their charity, Kidd's Kids provided family trips to Walt Disney World in Orlando FL. for over a thousand children with life altering and life-threatening conditions, bringing them hope and happiness by creating indelible memories for them and their families.
Kurt, being the entrepreneur that he was, not only opened an Italian Restaurant with a longtime friend, he later opened a flight kitchen, Flighteam, in Grapevine TX, near the DFW airport with another great friend. They furnished meals for Charter Airlines. He employed many of his previous coworkers from Dobbs House, where they were all more like family. Kurt was the kind of guy that would do anything for anyone, including buying a car for an employee who needed it. Kurt loved flying so much he even purchased the fuselage of a MD 88 to turn into an office with the full interior of of the airplane as it once was. He later sold the plane which became an artisan coffee shop in Miami.
Kurt had a great love for cars, airplanes and boats. In 2009 he became a US Coast Guard Merchant Marine and extended his career with his love of being on the water. As a licensed Captain he delivered many yachts up and down the east and west coats of FL and took one great adventure to deliver a 52' yacht all the way to NY. Being known as "Mr Adventure Man' by his wife, his life was never boring.
Kurt had an infectious sense of humor like his mother and was always full of surprises. He and Anna had a great love for cruising. They also shared a love for golf and traveled with groups of friends playing golf all over the U.S., Jamaica and a trip to Scotland where they were able to play at St. Andrews. He also loved flying, boating, traveling and attending many sporting events, To this day he still has seats to the Indianapolis 500 which he started attending as a young boy with his father.
Kurt was such a good man and touched so many lives. He has so many friends all over the world who will always remember him, and he will be missed by all. Kurt will be cremated and his ashes will be spread as to his wishes.

Kurt was more than a friend. He mentored me in life, aviation and many other endeavors. The experiences we shared will always be cherished. From times on the "Blue Bonnet" to cruising in the many corvettes, "Betsy" ( an all original classic Mustang), and a sweet yellow Cougar convertible. We had some times! He helped me, my family and countless others. I will miss you my dear friend but I know one day we will see each other again. I love you dude!!

. You are my sunshine, our biggest sunshine...You´ve made
us happy, when skies are gray.
You'll never know dear, how much we love you,
Please take our sunshine, somewhere we we can all meet him again someday.
Ok, that was a bit dorky, but I really, really wanna see his silly face again...feel his warm heart, and laff like there is no tomorrow, as usual!.
Skippy and Anna, you have always been a bright star in our life. You both are loved so much.
