Kurt H. Sutton

Kurt H. Sutton was born in Gardenstadt, Germany on September 5, 1944. He was a beloved husband, treasured father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, educator, coach, soldier, musician, entrepreneur and most recently and what he was widely known for his portrayal of Mark Twain.

Kurt passed in his sleep on March 21, 2026, at his home in Buford, Georgia. Services will be held at Darby Funeral Home in Canton on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 2:00PM with visitation beginning at 1:00PM. There will be no graveside service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Steve, and son Brian. Survivors include his wife Linda Patterson Sutton, two daughters Kimberly Mimm and Erika Sutton Knight, sister Sharon Sutton Brock, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Though he will be missed, he will never be forgotten as his memory will warm the hearts of all who loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations be made to help cover funeral expenses.
