Kyera Raine Quiver was born on February 20, 1996 in Rapid City, SD to Curtis Quiver and Madeline Surrounded. Kyera made her journey to the Spirit World on July 14, 2025 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Kyera is survived by her parents, Madeline Surrounded of Mitchell, SD and Curtis Quiver of Wanblee, SD; daughter, Sacred Destyni Quiver of Sioux Falls, SD; sons, Tylee Virgil Quiver of Manderson, SD, Boscinio Delando Quiver and Cyrus Savior Quiver both of Mitchell, SD; sisters, Tashiana (Jessie) Ashley and Syrene Bear Killer both of Wanblee, SD; brothers, Skylore Surrounded of Mitchell, SD , Delando (Julia) Janis of Rapid City, SD, Carlos Janis, Sr., Dustin Janis, Jr., and Kooleo Janis of Manderson, SD; aunts, Brenda Little Spotted Horse of Denver, CO, Glenda Rodriquez, Mona Rodriguez and Tonya Little Spotted Horse of Rapid City, SD, Millicent Swimmer of Porcupine, SD, Virgina Martinez of Sioux Falls, SD, Russchelle Quiver of Wanblee, Helene (Waylon) Gaddie of Lost Dog, Amber Adams of Pine Ridge, SD, Violet Richards Lucero, Satin Janis, and Desera Richards of Manderson, SD; uncles, Robert Quiver, Jr. of Porcupine, SD, Virgil Surrounded, Jr. of Mitchell, SD, and Conan Janis of Manderson, SD; grandmothers, Beldine White Eyes of Porcupine, SD, Geneva Janis of Hot Springs, SD, and Virgina Janis of Manderson, SD; grandfathers, Lewis Quiver of Wanblee, SD, Dennis Bear Runner and Ramon Bear Runner of Pine Ridge, SD; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kyera was preceded in death by her step-father, Dustin Janis Sr.; maternal grandparents, Virgil and Margorie (Chasing His Horse) Surrounded; maternal great-grandparents, Hugh Surrounded, Lucy Warbonnet, Titus Chasing His Horse, and Lucy First in Trouble; her parental grandparents, Leola Bear Runner-Quiver and Robert Quiver Sr.; paternal great-grandparents, Sophia Romero and Joseph Quiver, Oscar and Grace (Rock) Bear Runner; aunt, Kathy Chapman; uncles, Eli Little Spotted Horse and Konroy Surrounded; cousins, Latasha Hernandez and Antonia White Eyes; and niece, Esther Daniella Pacer.

Casket bearers will be Kyah Dull Knife, Rikkera Moran, Shai Dull Knife, Kylee Medicine Blanket, Genia Bettelyoun, Kimimila Quiver, and Megan Quiver.
