Kyle Holte-Finlayson

Kyle Dennis Holte-Finlayson, age 31, of Winona, MN, passed away on April 10th, 2025, after an aggressive case of pneumonia.

Kyle was born in Winona, MN, to Karen Holte and Brian Finlayson. He loved growing up with his big sister, Kellie, and little sister, Brookie. He attended Winona Area Public Schools and adored his teachers and staff. After high school, Kyle started working at the Winona County Developmental Achievement Center and has happily worked there ever since. Kyle spent his afternoons with friends and staff at Home & Community Options. He had many lifelong friends that he cherished.

Kyle was a homebody and loved nothing more than being home with his mom. He looked forward to Saturday Target trips and expanding his impressive toy collection. He enjoyed singing Disney songs, dancing, and watching old cartoons. Kyle was a big, snuggly bear who loved his family and friends fiercely. He judged no one and embraced people for who they were. He was a guiding light for how to live and treat others.

Kyle is survived by his mother Karen Holte, father Brian Finlayson, sisters Kellie (Chandler) Fihn and Brooke (Kollin) Holte-Finlayson, nephews Graham and Blake Fihn, all of Winona, MN, and grandparents Annette and Dennis Holte of Spring Grove, MN.

Kyle Holte-Finlayson will be remembered with a visitation from 3-6pm and a memorial service at 6pm to follow at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service in Goodview, MN, on Thursday, April 17th, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winona County Developmental Achievement Center or Home and Community Options.
