With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kyle James Reid, who left this world far too soon on May 12, 2025.
Kyle was a beacon of happiness and laughter, whose bright spirit filled every room and lifted the hearts of all those around him. His infectious humor, radiant smile, and genuine kindness made an unforgettable impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. To meet Kyle was to know true joy; to laugh with him was to feel truly alive.
Whether cracking jokes, offering a helping hand, or simply being his warm and vibrant self, Kyle made everyone feel like family. His presence was a gift-his joy contagious, his heart boundless. He had an extraordinary ability to see the best in people and inspire them to see it in themselves.
Kyle was preceded in death by his beloved father and best friend, Kenneth Reid, whom he deeply loved and missed every day.
He is survived by his loving mother, Wendi Kuhnen, and her husband Ken; his siblings, Melissa, Josh, and Terah; and countless friends whose lives were enriched by his friendship. The love Kyle shared and the laughter he brought into this world will forever live on through each of them.
Although Kyle's time with us was far too brief, the memories he created and the joy he spread will echo forever. He is deeply loved, sorely missed, and never forgotten.
A Celebration of Kyle's Life will be held on May 30, 2025 at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 Charles J Miller Road McHenry IL 60050, from 3pm to 7pm, at 630 PM there will be a service and sharing of memories. After the services the family invites everyone to come to Halftimes Bar and Grill in Johnsburg to keep celebrating Kyle's impact on this world. The gathering at Halftimes Bar and Grill will start at approximately 8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Kyle's memory to the American Heart Association.
