Kyle Adam Schott Jr.

Kyle "Junnie" Schott, 79, of Louisville, Ky passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Jewish South Hospital. He was born to the late Mary M. Roby and Kyle A. Schott Sr. on February 24,1945. He was a retired maintenance technician at Brown-Forman Distillers, he was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Kyle was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He spent much of his time volunteering and taking joy in being with his family. He was a cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and was affectionately known as the "neighborhood dad." His kindness, generosity, and sense of humor touched the lives of all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Margaret Schott, as well as his son, David Schott, and grandson, Jesse Schott. Kyle was also preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Schott, Thomas Schott, and Daniel Schott.
Kyle is survived by his children, Daniel Schott Sr., Diana Richardson, Denise Roeller (John), David Marlett; his grandchildren, Abigail Roeller, Tiffany Smith (Jason), Larry Richardson Jr., Elizabeth Richardson (Josh), Kyle Richardson, Chad Richardson, David Schott Jr.,(Shay), Chris Schott (Donna), Adam Schott (Joyce), Sara Schott (Matt), Nicholas Schott (Bec), Daniel Schott Jr.,(Jennifer), Derrick Schott, Daniella Schott, and Brandon Searcy; along with 22 great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews, and other dear family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may attend a visitation at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy at John Harper Freeway) on Wednesday January 22, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Please meet at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. for funeral mass.
