Robert Gonterman Obituary
He was a retired engineer with the old L&N Railroad and was a U.S. Navy veteran and served as a jet mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Gonterman ; son , Robert Norman Gonterman, Jr. , parents, Oral and Ruby Gonterman; sister, Barbara and brother Gordon (Red).
He is survived by his son, Travis Gonterman ; grandchildren, Nora Gonterman, Emma Gonterman and Jessica Bara; great grandchildren, Natalie, Oliver, Danielle and Rylee; siblings, Linda K., Larry D. , John C. and Deborah.
His funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Friday February 13, 2026 at Schmid Funeral Home in Mt. Washington with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
