Obituary
Kyle Joseph Weaver
July 18, 1975- October 27, 2025
On October 27th, 2025, Kyle Joseph Weaver took his last breath peacefully, surrounded by his loving family after a short and brutal 20-day battle with pancreatic cancer. He was only 50 years old. Kyle leaves behind his devastated family, wife, Mandy, daughters, 22 yr old Sunny (Colt Rischel),17 yr old Daisy, 9 yr old Ruby, grandson Levi Rishel, mother, Marilyn Bostrom & stepdad Dave Bostrom, stepbrother Preston Bostrom, in-laws Sherry and Allen Firnekas, Dan and Sarah Firnekas, niece and nephew Allen and Emily Firnekas, as well as dear and treasured friends that were family. He was preceded in death by his father, Kim Weaver; best friend and brother, Clay Weaver, as well as his grandparents Dale & Margaret Weaver, and Herb & Jody Koch.
Kyle was a family guy, not one to go out with the guys or spend much time on hobbies, his entire world and social life was focused on home and family. Kyle built a very happy life with his wife and best friend of 19 years, who he said he fell in love with at first sight and regularly declared that they were the "perfect couple." He was a devoted, fiercely protective and fun "girl dad," always up for an adventure or spa day with masks, hair do's, and nail painting, proudly and unashamedly keeping his fancy nails for as long as they lasted. He taught them so many things, but one of his top lessons was to not take sh*t from anyone. He was a proud Papa to his grandson and thrilled to have a boy in the family.
The four years Kyle spent in the Navy shaped him in many ways, he said it gave him direction and purpose as a young man who didn't know what he wanted to do in life. He saw the world and made true friendships, got in some fights, had some good times, and began the journey of growing into the incredible and honorable man he was.
The Navy also trained him in the field that would become his career, an industrial electrician. He was highly accomplished in his field, even being sent to Canada by his company to help install and implement new equipment and computer systems for a plant there. At the time of his death, he had worked for Crown, Cork, and Seal for 17 years and until his cancer diagnosis had only called in sick once. His work was an important part of his life and a source of pride.
Kyle was a passionate Union Steward for USW Local 11-656, and spent many nights and weekends fighting for his fellow workers. In the course of his work as a Steward he saved an uncountable number of jobs and livelihoods, and was often told he should be a lawyer because he was so good at winning cases. Fighting for others and doing what is right no matter how difficult it may be or what the odds are was one of his most defining characteristics. One of the most noble things a person can do is, as he called it, "to fight for the downtrodden," and he did so heroically.
Cooking and enjoying a good meal with his family and friends was one of Kyle's favorite things. He loved to make fancy and elaborate meals, often from recipes he cut out of Bon Appetit magazine, as well as smoking copious amounts of meat with absolutely no regard for an accompanying vegetable.
Kyle's favorite place on earth was his family's cabin in the Big Horn Mountains. He loved entertaining friends and family on the deck, riding four-wheelers with his daughters, climbing rocks and playing in the dirt, and fly fishing. His most treasured memories both as a child and adult were made there.
There is nobody on earth like quite like Kyle. A blue collar guy who loved Downton Abbey and English history podcasts, a tough and sometimes intimidating man who loved babies and was unfailingly tender to his wife and children, a fiercely intelligent man who laughed his guts out at his own very "Dad" jokes.
If you would like to honor the memory of this incredible and irreplaceable man, say what needs to be said whether people like it or not. Love and protect your family with unwavering devotion. Cook a good meal to share with friends. Fight the good fight. Stand in solidarity with your fellow workers and defend the downtrodden. Laugh at your own jokes. Live the kind of life that leaves a crater in the world the size of which he left.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday November 15, 2025 at St. Albans Episcopal Church with Rev. Jim Stewart officiating. Memorial donations may be made at Pinnacle Bank in Worland for the benefit of Kyle's girls to help secure their future and provide for their needs as they grow up without their father. Please send checks payable to Mandy Weaver PO Box 524 Worland, Wyoming 82401. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
