William R. "Bill" Weaver of Paris passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, at his residence. His funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 10, 2025, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Dr. Jonathan Smith of Fairview Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM, Monday, prior to the service at 1:00.
Bill Weaver was born June 5, 1937, in Ridgely, TN, to the late Mary E. Weaver. On July 5, 1980, he married Norma Myrick Weaver, and she survives in Paris.
Bill was a 1966 graduate of St. Louis City Hospital School of Nursing, which was followed by two years in the U.S. Army. He left the Army for the U.S. Air Force to pursue course training as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. He spent 15 years of active duty in the military before leaving in 1975. He came to Paris in 1976 to work as an anesthetist, where he stayed until 1992. Following some major surgery of the neck that was not very successful, he was forced to retire from anesthesia practice.
In addition to his wife, Bill is also survived by his daughter, Teresa Sheridan of Jackson; granddaughter, Keaghlan Sheridan of Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by four brothers: James B., Vernon E., Larry G., and Huey L. Weaver.
