Kyle James Winquist passed away on June 27, 2025 in Valparaiso, IN. He was born on June 4, 1993 in Crown Point, IN to Christopher Winquist and Melissa (Alex) Kincses who both survive. Surviving Kyle are the love of his life Elise Gustafson, Son Arlo Gustafson Winquist, Brother Dalton Winquist, Grandmother Jill (Bob) Riggs, Step-Grandmother Loni Rich, Aunt Bridget (John) VanGilder, Grammy Belle Gustafson, Aunt Patti Winquist, other loved ones Tim and Debbie Gustafson, Chelsea (Joe) Gustafson Bodkin, Brecken and Brighton Gustafson, Colleen Holmes, and Tommy Steindler. He is preceded in death by his Grandmother Deanna Winquist, Grandfather Bill Rich, Gumpy Ronald Gustafson, and Aunt Terri Winquist. Kyle's world was his love Elise and Son Arlo. He lived and breathed for them. Kyle enjoyed cars and trucks. He loved working on them, driving them, and going to car shows. He won his dream truck in January of 2025 and received it in late May of 2025. He took his truck to car shows and was excited to pass it on to his son Arlo in the years to come. He grew up playing soccer and only stopped because he tore his ACL. Video games were also a big part of his life where he could escape and release the stress from the daily grind. Notre Dame Football was a family experience and love for him. Kyle had started attending games with his grandmother and parents starting at four years old. He watched every game and went as often as he could throughout his life. Kyle was the man you could always count on. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to all his loved ones whenever needed. He showed his love through quality time and made everyone feel like family as soon as he met them. He always lived life to the fullest. Kyle was employed as an operator at Heidtman Steel Products. A service for Kyle will be held at Bartholomew Funeral Home in Valparaiso on Friday July 11, 2025 at 4:00PM with a visitation from 12:00 PM to the time of services.
