Kyung Han Obituary
April 22, 1944 - September 5, 2025
Kyung Soo Han passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 81. Mr. Han was born in Seoul, South Korea, on April 22, 1944, to parents Seung Bok Han and Oun Im Yu. He was a graduate of Seoul National University. He emigrated from Korea to the United States as an adult and spent nearly five decades living in Illinois, primarily in Chicago.
Mr. Han was known for his keen intellect and his great artistic talents, in particular in drawing and illustration. Mr. Han had a warm personality and a good sense of humor. When in good health, he enjoyed nature and fishing.
Mr. Han was preceded in death by his parents, his older sister Myoung Soon Han, and older brothers Byung Soo Han and Seung Soo Han. He is survived by his younger brother Ki Soo "Steve" Han, his children Paula, Sandra, Laura and Thomas, and their mother Yong Hee. Mr. Han also had two grandchildren, Lucy and Luke.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Avenue, Chicago. Interment Montrose Cemetery, Chicago, IL. For funeral info call 773-736-3833.
