Mr. L.D. Temple, age 90, of College Grove,TN, passed away on November 12, 2025 in College Grove, TN. Born on May 13, 1935, in Franklin County, MS, he was the son of the late Leroy DeKalb Temple Sr. and Olga Addie Westbrook Temple. L.D. proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Eagleville Baptist Church.
L.D. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He grew up spending time with his siblings and enjoying those special moments and bonds they created. L.D. was a present father who never missed his son's events. He took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as spoiling them and supporting their sporting events. L.D. was a man who always made an impact on anyone he met and was always greeting you with a smile. He was kind, gentle, and smart. L.D. was a deacon and servant for Christ. He enjoyed woodworking and being able to craft anything he put his mind up to.
L.D. is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Jo Anne Temple of College Grove, TN; children, Aaron Eugene (Sherri) Temple of Amherst, VA, Ronald Keith (Laura) Temple of College Grove, TN; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Annie Watts of Liberty, MS, Laura Kinney of Odenville, AL, Mavis Carlisle of Brookhaven, MS, and Grace Smith of Vidalia, LA; and his fur baby, Boudreaux.
A Celebration of life service for Mr. L.D. Temple will be on November 22, 2025, from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home at 12 Noon. A visitation will take place from 11 AM until 12 Noon at the funeral home.
