Carmen Gonzalez Age 94, wife to the late Bibiano Gonzalez; Beloved mother to Bertha Gonzalez, Maria Delia Quiroga, Yolanda Gonzalez (Godson Andrew M Barnett), Capt. Alex Gonzalez (Maria Pender) and the late Carolina Gonzalez and the late David Gonzalez; Beloved Grandmother to Jose Angel (Eva) Quiroga and Great-Grandmother to Dr. Jose Angel III, Monique, Jasmin (Javier), Anthony and Serena Quiroga. Survived by brothers Adalberto (Guillermina) Mendez and Arturo Mendez (late Josefina); many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends around the world.
She was born on May 22, 1931 in Salvatierra, Guanajuato Mexico. She worked at several companies including Zenith and Tootsie Roll. She loved all animals. As a child she loved her little white mouse that her grandmother tied for her on a string. Her pets were named El Bul, El Chubi, Charcoal, Millie the Duck. Rabbits Whitey, Pinta and Brownie. Leo, Polly and Princess. Grand Cat Tigerlily which she called La Guera.
She was known as "La Abuelita Alegria", HBO Latin America. Her other hobby was to be featured in a podcast known as El Show de "La Abuelita Alegria". laabuelitaalegria.net
