LaChandra Ross was born on Feburary 10, 1957 to Etta Mae Powell and was raised by her grandmother Ellan Young. LaChandra was intruducted to Christ at a very young age, and accepted the Lord as her savior before grade school. Growing up LaChandra went to church and was very active in the body of Christ.

LaChandra received her education in the public school system and graduated from Lincoln High School in Dallas, TX where she played sports and gave birth to her first son. While attending high school was was blessed to meet the love of her life, Joel Lewis; whom she later married right out of high school and had to more children with.

LaChandra was so passinate about the community that she started working at a clinic as a nurse in the heart of South Dallas, and later retired from Methodist Hospital in 2018.

LaChandra continued her life with Joel as their family grew and their ministry was started. Lachandra was a part of many community events, where she was active in outreach with her spouse. She menotored at risk youth, and received a Lay Counseling Certification, to continue to help the community heal in Jesus name. While serving others, she was apart of the minitry that feed the multitude at Dallas Life.

LaChandra not only loved her family and friends, but she loved the Lord and working for the Lord. The Lord saw her good deeds and called her home on September 3, 2025.
She is servived by Joel Lewis her husband, brother Cyruss Powell (Brenda) and sister Aundre Barnes, two sons; NaKelon Ross and Emmanuel Ross, daughter ZaKiyyah Lewis. Grandchildren: Sutoria Ross, Natisha Ross, Deneisha Ross, Tiara Ross, Brandon Ross, Adilyn Ross, Zregory Bunton, ZaNyiah Bunton and Mathan Owens. Great Granshildren: Kalilah Hill, Ladarius Averyhart Jr., Rayshawn Averyheart, Serenity Specks, Saxton Specks, Zara Bunton- Parra; and a host of special neices and nephews.

LaChandra will be missed but forever lives on in our hearts.
