LaDonna Jean McDonald, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025, at the age of 62. She was born on Thursday, September 26th, 1963, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and resided in Clarksville, Indiana, throughout her memorable life.
LaDonna dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker, creating a loving and nurturing environment for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her mother, Betty Walter, beloved daughters, Natasha Drake and Amber Riddle, and her caring brothers, Fred Durham and Brian Durham. She was a proud grandmother to Lakyn, Michael, Brianna, and West, who all brought immense joy and pride to her life.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Durham, and her husband, Michael McDonald, whom she cherished deeply.
LaDonna was known for her vibrant spirit and was often referred to as the life of the party. A faithful member of the North Charlestown Church of God, she was a woman of strong faith and community. She adored shopping, spending time with friends, and was an enthusiastic supporter of IU basketball. Her love for travel took her to many places, but she particularly cherished trips to Gatlinburg and Panama City Beach, Florida. Above all, she treasured the moments spent with her beloved granddaughter, Lakyn.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172), on Sunday, October 12th, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A funeral service celebrating her life will follow at 3:00 pm.
LaDonna will be remembered for her warmth, her infectious smile, and her unwavering love for her family and community. Her legacy of love and joy continues to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
