Lagene Jackson Caverly

Lagene Jackson Caverly of Red Oak, TX passed from this life on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at the age of 82. She was born January 4, 1943 in Trenton, TX to Louie and Evelyn Jackson. Lagene and her parents moved to Lancaster when she was 9 years old. She was a resident of Lancaster until 2019 when she moved to Red Oak to live with and be cared for by her daughter, Melanie.
In her younger days, Lagene enjoyed being in a bowling league. She always enjoyed a game of trivia, playing cards, and reading a good book. Lagene was also very gifted at ceramics and loved more than anything decorating her Christmas tree.
She was preceded in death by her son, John; and her parents, Louie and Evelyn.
Lagene is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Anita and Paul Tanton of Lancaster, Donna and David Aud of Red Oak, and Melanie and David Gilster of Red Oak; her grandchildren and their spouses, Aaron and Julie Aud, Sarah and Scott Poarch, Joshua and Jammie Tanton, Charla and Hermilo Aguilar, Kastle Gilster, and Heavyn Gilster; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Lagene's life will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning an hour prior at 10:00am.
