Lainey Alice White, age 3, of Elberton, began dancing with the angels on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Children’s Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta surrounded by her family.

Lainey was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens on July 3, 2020, to her proud parents, Avery Mayes White and Meredith Lee White. She was a typical toddler who ran everywhere she went and was always happy. Her big, bright smile would light up any room in which she would enter, and her beautiful dimples and sweet giggle would make every heart smile. She loved dancing, and always jumped in the air and twirled while doing so.

Lainey loved watching Poppy on Trolls and Elsa was her favorite. Anything with a dinosaur or unicorn would light up her world. Her favorite color was pink, and she loved all kinds of flowers. She loved playing with her puppies, Ruby and Kota. Lainey’s love for her family was fierce. She looked forward to Wednesday nights because it was always spaghetti night, which was Lainey’s favorite meal. Her favorite snacks were cookies, chocolate ice cream, and reese’s cups. She loved all of her friends at God’s Glory Daycare.

She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories: her dad and mom, Avery and Meredith; grandparents: Stacey “GeeGee” and Shunn “Papa Shunn” Mattox of Commerce, Wesley “Jack” and MacKenzie “Kenny” White of Elberton, Kim “Timmy” Moon of Elberton, and Darren “Poppy” and Tammy “Nini” Sartain of Anderson; great-grandparents: Shirley “Grandma Shirley” Rucker of Elberton, Brenda “Mimi” Moon of Elberton, Larry “Papa” and Revonda “Nana” Sartain of Elberton, and Allen “Papa” and Janet “Booba” Wilder of Elberton; aunts and uncles: Alandra “TT Man” and Nick Pope, Aubrey White, and bestfriends Atalie and Ashlyn White, Dylan and Stephanie Sartain, and Ian Sartain; cousins: Esme Sartain, Oliver Sartain, Bravery, and Brason; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 12, from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home.

Funeral service celebrating Lainey’s life will be conducted on Thursday, June 13, at 11:00a.m. at First Baptist Church of Elberton. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park with Wes White, Darren Sartain, Dylan Sartain, Ian Sartain, Tevin “Uncle T” Fleming, and Stephon “Uncle Chee Chee” Newman honored as pallbearers.

The family respectfully requests flowers be omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lainey Memorial Account at any Pinnacle Bank.
