Mr. William Mark Berryman, 66, of Bowman, GA passed away February 2, 2026.
He was born on January 4, 1960, to Gwinnett and Martha Berryman. Mark graduated from Hart County High School in 1978 and went on to serve in the Navy for 8 years. Mark was a gifted cook receiving training from the Culinary School of Atlanta. He took his talents out west to live every man’s dream of living on a ranch where he served as the ranch cook in Montana, Arizona, and Colorado.
Mark left the kitchen to pursue another talent of his- writing. He wrote for several local newspapers, including the Elberton Star and Franklin County Citizen. Being the adventurer he was, Mark took off to Chiefland, FL where he would spend some time as the editor. Missing the cold weather of Montana, he found himself with a new job as an editor just outside of Sidney. In 2022, he came home to revisit another passion as a radio host and joined WSGC in 2023.
Mark dabbled in music in the early 2000’s but would really showcase his showmanship in his ventriloquism. Mark and Bo would travel to Vent Haven, Kentucky for several Ventriloquist conventions where they would meet with other talented artists and make many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Berryman; and great niece, Emma Rose New.
Survivors include his father, Gwinnett Berryman and his wife, Loretta; son, Chad Berryman; daughter, Crystal Rojas; brothers, David Berrymen, Tony Berryman, and Phillip Berryman and his wife, Kim; cousins, Cynthia and Brent Christopher; nephews, Jason Lee, Tyler Berryman his wife, Kaitlin (Scarlett, Saydie, Sawyer, Dustin) and Hunter Berryman; nieces, Casey Berryman, Amber Berryman (Daniel New and Sofia New).
