Mr. Doyt Stanley "Stan" Maxwell

Mr. Doyt Stanley Maxwell, Jr., 59, of Royston, GA, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at his home.

Mr. Maxwell was born on April 30, 1966, in Elberton, GA, son of the late Doyt Stanley Maxwell, Sr. and Brenda Maxwell Bryant. He was a self-employed construction worker, former member of Bowman Volunteer Fire Department, avid fisher, hunter, and racer. He was also a member of Royston Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Mize Maxwell; step- father, Jimmy Bryant; daughters, Brooke Maxwell Dickerson (Brad), and Morgan Maxwell Elder (Jacob), both of Elberton, GA; brothers, Johnny Clark Maxwell (Melissa) of Columbus, GA, and Brent Maxwell (Gina) of Bowman, GA; and grandchildren, Brylee Dickerson, Bria Dickerson, Brynnen Dickerson, and Emma Elizabeth Elder; brother-in-law, Stan Mize of Athens, GA; sister-in-law, Latrice Clifton of Harlem, GA; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mr. Stanley Maxwell will be held in the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2026, with Rev. Kip Boswell and Mr. David Maxwell officiating.

The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. At other times, the family will be at the home.
