Laird J. Dickinson, 68, passed away on October 6, 2025. He was born on July 10, 1957, to the late Cletus J. and Laverne M. (Lemerond) Dickinson in Howard. He married the love of his life, Tammy Bednarski, on June 10, 2000, and together they shared a life full of laughter, love, and adventure. Laird spent over 50 years in sales in the trucking equipment industry.

A true car enthusiast, Laird restored and built many vehicles over the years. He loved camping, cherished his family and friends, and was always willing to help anyone in need. Laird never had a bad day and made sure everyone around him was smiling. Known as the life of the party and a true social butterfly, he brought joy and warmth wherever he went.

Laird is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Dickinson; children, Laird M. (Jodie) Dickinson, Katie (Shane) Kayser, Mary Jo Dickinson, Jonathan Borstad and Jeffrey Borstad; grandchildren, Devin (Jazmine) Dickinson, Johnathan L. (Caroline) Dickinson, Bradley A. (Lizzy) Dickinson and Bentley, Harper, Kodi, & Emma Kayser and Blythe McKenzie; great-grandchild, Deacon L. Dickinson; brothers, Glen (Jane) Dickinson and Kurt Dickinson; sister-in-law, Sharon Dickinson; nieces and nephews, Paula (Tim) King, Holly (Kevin) Allen, Jarrod (Melissa) Dickinson, Joel (Roxy) Dickinson, Justin (Jenny) Dickinson and Tara Dickinson; and parents-in-law, Greg and Mary Loomis.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Terry Dickinson; and nephew, Ryan Dickinson.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 18 from 1:30 – 3:00 PM at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Howard-Suamico location (1145 Cardinal Ln). A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 PM and then a Celebration of Life will be at the Howard VFW (754 Riverview Dr) beginning at 3:30 PM.

Laird will be remembered for his generous heart, his jolly spirit, and the countless lives he touched.

Laird and I graduated together. We had loved of muscle engines. We never had a bad word between us. May he rest in peace! Actually we were neighbors for 15 years.
