Lamar Reynolds, 72, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, September 27, 2025, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 12 Noon, Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with Bro. Rick Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM, Thursday at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Reynolds was born February 23, 1953, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Harold Clayton & Odelle Roberts Reynolds. He worked at Harvey's early on in his life. He was a truck driver for over 40 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who enjoyed gardening and cutting his grass. He was a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. Mr. Reynolds worked with Eddie and Freddie Rayl training bird dogs, two of whom won National Championships. He was a member of Callie Garbutt Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children: Lee & Rhonda Reynolds of Baxley, LeaAnn & Joseph Wade of Fitzgerald, Jamie Paulk & Ric Briggs of Carrabelle, Florida, Anthony & Laura Goodman of Leesburg, Shannon & Bennie Pettis of Tifton, and Misty Heath & Greg Taylor of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Courtney Sanders, Ryan Clements, Paul Clements, Christina & Scotty Hoover, Brianna & Steven Parks, Taylor Wade, Allyson & Cameron Foster, Logan Mathis, Emmerson Pettis, Lakelyn Pettis, Westin Heath, Everleigh Taylor, Carson Taylor, and Anna Claire Goodman; four great-grandchildren: Oliver Clements, Marik Sanders, Harrison Hoover, and Samuel Parks; a sister, Dianne & Lamar McDonald of Fitzgerald; nephews and a niece: Jason & Lori McDonald, Jennifer & Billy Mix, Justin & Carley McDonald, and Josh & Christi McDonald; great-nieces and nephews: Jackson Mix, Lyndsee McDonald, Kaylee McDonald, Tucker Mix, Ella Kate Mix, John Carson McDonald, Lanier McDonald, Maddi McDonald, and Brady McDonald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Faye Reynolds; two sisters: Joyce Reynolds and Gail Reynolds; and a niece, Rebecca Reynolds.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
