Lambert "Bert" Vincent Eischens was born on August 30, 1934, in St. Leo, Minnesota. He was the son of Peter and Cecelia (Jelen) Eischens. Bert attended parochial school at St. Leo and then attended Canby High School.
On June 8, 1955, Lambert married Theresa Fieber at St. Michael Catholic Church in Madison, Minnesota. They made their home first in St. Leo and a few years later moved to St. Paul, Minnesota. The couple were blessed with seven children, Ron, Randy, Dave, Al, Lori, Kathy and Kari. Bert and Theresa moved back to the Granite Falls area in 1963.
Bert mainly worked as a machinist, first for Rodger's Hydraulic in Granite Falls and later moved to Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative in Renville. He enjoyed going for a drive, gardening and wood working. Bert was always on the go and loved to play cards, go hunting and fishing. His favorite get-aways were going up north to the cabin with "his boys." Family and friends were the things that meant the most him.
Bert is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Eischens of Granite Falls; children, Ron (Lisa) Eischens of Sparta, MI, Dave (Carrie) Eischens of Granite Falls, Lori Ruether of Montevideo, Kathy Dodd of Brookings, SD, Kari Lang of Basehor, KS; daughter-in-law, Jenny Eischens of Des Moines, IA; grandchildren, Kristen (Matt) Bottke, Michael Eischens, Stephen Eischens, Kelly (Joe) Stamps, Jeremy Eischens, Amy Eischens, Angie (Joe) Thostenson, Jamie (Jon) Bohner, Shane (Madi) Ruether, Tyler (Kenzie) Ruether, Dustin Dodd, Ryan (Autumn) Dodd, Adam Lang; great grandchildren, Elliana, Bennett, Ava, Joseph, Jacob, Sophie, Hayden, Alex, Jaden, Jalissa, Jaylee, Avery, Rhett; sisters, Betty Ozdowski of West Bend, UT, Sister Pauline Eischens of Mankato; sisters-in-law, Ruth Pearson of Staples, Arlene Skov of Motley; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends..
Lambert is preceded in death by parents, Peter and Cecelia Eischens; sons, Randy and Al; sisters, Ruth Pederson, Joyce Eischens.
