Lamont Grantham 70 of Columbus, passed away February 4, 2026 at OSU Medical Center. He was born in Martinsburg, West Virgina the son of the late Stanford S. Grantham and Barbara Jean Branson Grantham.
Lamont lived in Shepherdstown, West Virginia where he attended Eastside Elementary for 1st through 7th grades, Shepherdstown High School, and West Virginia Vocational Center in Charleston, Virginia. He attended St John's Baptist Church, Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
Lamont was a dedicated hard worker who provided for his family. He worked at Bob Daniel's Buick for 15 years and Superior Die. and Tools for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Johnson) Grantham; two sons, Lamont (Teresa) Johnson of Oregon, Tracy (Sherry) Johnson of Columbus Ohio; two uncles, Minister Cletus Grantham of Elyria, Ohio and Thomas J. Branson of Fairfield, Ohio; one aunt, Sheila Johnson Branson of Fairfield, Ohio; six siblings, Stanford B. Grantham (Judy) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Portia Rolle of Leesburg, Florida, Thomas A. Grantham (Annette) of Shepherdstown, West Virgina, Susan Smith (Marvin) of Louisville, Kentucky, Charles B. Grantham (Geraldine) of Canton, Ohio, Brian Grantham, Martinsburg, West Virgina; sister - in - low, Daisy Grantham; special mother-in-law, Katherine Langham; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Lamont is preceded in death by daughter Orrillia Johnson, siblings Henry L. Grantham, Harry V. Grantham, Robert W. Grantham, Andrea G. Elizabeth Grantham and two baby brothers that passed at birth.
