Obituary
Tustin - Lamont Gene Sible, of Tustin passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at the Tustin House, surrounded by his family. He was 92 years old.
Lamont was born on August 16, 1931, in Marion, Michigan to Floyd and Gladys (Salisbury) Sible. Lamont entered into marriage with the former Nona Mildred Cooper at the former Pisgah Heights Church on June 2, 1951. The couple celebrated 66 years together, not only as a couple but as best friends until Nona's passing in 2018.
Lamont spent many years working at Gardner Denver in Reed City and Rexair in Cadillac. He could often be found working on his farm or on vehicles in his younger years. In his later years, Lamont could be found in his garage working on his tractor as well as many other projects. He enjoyed spending time with Nona before her passing, tractor pulls, and telling many stories at family events. Lamont will be remembered for his mechanical knowledge, quick wit, and the love he had for his family.
Lamont is survived by his six children, Debra (Wade) Fedewa of Gaylord, Lamont Sible, Jr. of South Carolina, Scott (Michelle) Sible of Saginaw, Dana (Cheryl) Sible of Sears, William "Bill" Sible of LeRoy, and Brent (Angel) Sible of LeRoy; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; as well as many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nona; and grandchildren, Cindy Lou (Fedewa) Graham and Jeffrey Dana Sible.
Cremation has taken place and services celebrating Lamont's life will be held at a later date in the spring. The family would like to especially thank the Tustin House, their staff, the residents, and Munson Hospice for the care and attention Lamont received during his time there. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online at www.Fosnaught-Holdship.com The family is being served by the Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home.
