It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Lance Lee Chavez, born on July 26, 2004, in El Paso, Texas, and raised in Las Cruces/Dona Ana, New Mexico. Lance's life was defined by compassion, generosity, and a profound devotion to his family.
Lance was known for his exceptionally kind and loving nature. He possessed a rare, genuine empathy that guided his actions every day. He fed anyone in need, offered the shirt off his back to a stranger, and would give his last dollar if it meant helping someone else. His selflessness was not occasional - it was the very essence of who he was.
Above all, Lance cherished his family. He loved them deeply, and his entire family loved him just as fiercely. His bond with his twin brother, Levi, was especially remarkable; Levi was not only his brother but his best friend and closest companion throughout life.
Lance took great pride in his work, especially in his food preparation position, and he approached every responsibility with dedication. He was also attending school, determined to build a meaningful future and discover the career path meant for him. Among his achievements, Lance was especially proud of graduating high school - a milestone he celebrated with joy and gratitude.
Lance was preceded in death by his father, Noe Raymundo Chavez, who now welcomes him with open arms.
He is lovingly survived by Brandy Perez, Destinie Chavez, Noe Jr. Chavez, Levi Chavez, Josiah Chavez, Jeremiah Chavez, Jayden Chavez, Janie Bracamonte, and Robert Perez. He is also survived by countless aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, and friends, all of whom were touched by his love and kindness.
A Celebration of Life will take place on November 22nd, 2025, at 12:00 PM, at La Paz Graham's Funeral Home 555 W Amador Ave., Las Cruces, NM 88005. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Lance's life, his compassion, and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
Lance will be remembered always for his gentle spirit, his generosity, and the unwavering love he shared with everyone around him.
