Lance Michael Garrett

GARRETT, Lance Michael – of Davison age 84, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Davison Missionary Church, 1481 N. Gale Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Alan Yerke officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
Lance was born in Flint, MI on November 27, 1939, son of Chester A. and Ileene (Hauenstein) Garrett. He married Lois A. Coon on October 3, 1959 in Bay City. He retired from the City of Flint Fire Department in 1991 after serving 23 years as a firefighter. Lance was second generation, co-owner and operator of Thor Sales and Service Appliance Store in Flint. He was an avid hunter and golfer. Lance enjoyed manicuring his lawn and helping any neighbor or family member in need. He was a very proud father and grandfather. The family will forever remember the countless stories that make them laugh. Lance was a member of Davison Missionary Church.
Lance is survived by wife, Lois Garrett; children, Melissa Haass, Debi (Dave) Filipiak, Kevin (Diane) Garrett, Kristee (Steve) Moore and John (Terra) Garrett; 12 grandchildren, Miranda (Tyler), Abigail, John, Zachary, Jackson, Max, Jacob, Grace, Isabelle, Nicholas, Lidia, and Ryan; 2 great-grandchildren, Olivia and River; He was preceded in death by his parents.
