Lance Allen Meaike, son of Willard and Eleanor (Wanninger) Meaike, was born February 13, 1967, and died November 4, 2025, at the age of 58.

Lance married Laurie Vesper in November 1996. Five children were born into this union. A proud Navy Veteran, he owned and operated a long-standing, successful construction business that he passed on to his son.

Lance enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking, classic cars, riding motorcycle, traveling, and drinking beer. He loved spending time with family above all else.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his brothers Linn Meaike, Lenord Meaike, Lloyd Meaike, his sisters Louise Tarwater, Laura Fancher, his brothers-in-law Bill Tarwater, Jim Campbell, and Jim Bob Vesper.

He is survived by his devoted wife Laurie Meaike; his loving children Jordan, Jarrett, JoAnna, James, and Joseph; his grandbabies Weston, Wrenley, and Wriley, and their mother Camdyn; His mother and father-in-law Jim and Deb Vesper; his brothers and sisters Linda and Dozy Petersen, Larry Meaike, Lavonne Campbell, Lonnie and Kim Meaike, and Lyle and Traci Meaike; his brother-in-law Johann and Brandi Vesper; his sisters-in-law Jeanne Meaike and Toni Vesper; many nieces and nephews including those he was closest with and always showed him love and support Tyler, Megan, Chelsea, Anita and Jeff, Ryan and Rebecca, Clint and Lori, Tarron and Jennifer, Justis and Anna, other relatives, and friends.

Private funeral services are entrusted to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home of Audubon, IA.
